Meaghan Hall is a Doctoral Practicum Student at Whole Kids Health. She is an exceptional and collaborative clinician with diverse training experience from The Hospital for Sick Children, The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health, and the York University Psychology Clinic.

Experience

Meaghan is a considerate and thoughtful clinician, committed to supporting children, adolescents, and their families. She has experience providing care to youth and parents with diverse needs, including anxiety, low mood, stress, emotion dysregulation, behaviour and learning difficulties, and neurodevelopmental disorders (e.g., ADHD, ASD). She has also been trained in attending to families of children with various neurological and medical conditions.

Clinical Approach

Meaghan takes a client-centered and collaborative approach to care, forming treatment plans that consider each individual’s unique strengths and needs. She has received training in numerous therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and relaxation and mindfulness-based practices.

Meaghan approaches her clinical work from a biopsychosocial lens. She understands that a client’s needs must be addressed in the context of their family system, while acknowledging their cognitive, psychological, biological, and social risk factors, as well as their strengths. She believes this is essential to providing comprehensive care.

Background & Training

Meaghan is a doctoral candidate in Clinical Developmental Neuropsychology at York University, where she also completed her Master’s degree. Clinically, she has completed training in pediatric neuropsychological assessment and child, adolescent, and parent-focused intervention at The Hospital for Sick Children, The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health, and the York University Psychology Clinic.
